Storing the camper tomorrow. Leaving Saturday.

The sea looks good for Saturday. There is another boat where MG is sitting that is leaving Saturday so we will convoy over. The other captain takes the boat over for the owner every year. We will take the camper to the cowboys tomorrow morning and move onto the boat. Gee, I think we may finally get to go. We saw an interesting green iguana yesterday by MG. The photo's are green guy, the other boat and MG.

Went shopping

Hi, I bought a boogie board and snorkel equipment yesterday. See, here I am! Mac will love me pushing him around.

Finally a beach for the kids and flowers for my sister!

We drove and drove to find a place for the kids to swim. We did it! Jazz had a blast. A chocolate lab kept wanting to hump her. She was the cutest Bitch on the beach....:) Both kids had to poop in the water. How embarassing for the parents!
Last flowers for my sister. Don't they look fake?

Smell that money? Marco, FL

I saw Dan Reeves get out of his silver Mercedes once and he just smelled of money. Marco, Florida is the same way. You could just smell it in the air. The neatest thing was the dolphin statues. They only wanted $8.00 to go to the beach! NO DOGS ALLOWED anywhere. And don't you forget it!!!!

You thought I was done...hah....Big Cypress Preserve

Yup, I thought I was done too. We left the Everglades for Big Cypress Nat'l Preserve. I forgot our camp site for all you full timers. We stayed at Midway. The bugs terrified Mac. I know why. They were huge. You could hear them thump into the side of the camper. We also have some fire pictures from the North side of Big Cypress Nat'l Preserve. We tried to bring Alligator Alley back to Stuart yesterday but it was still closed due to smoke. They opened it this morning. The fire is only 30% contained and has burned 24,000 acres.

Back in Stuart. Have you seen a lock?

We are camped close to the Saint Lucie Lock. One of 5 locks on the Okeechobee Waterway. It opened in 1944. Over 10,000 vessels pass thru it annually. 91% are recreational with 26,000 tons of manufactured goods, equipment, machinery and crude materials annually. Watch the boats lower to the waterway heights in the photo's.

Everglade Signs and Chokoloskee, Fl

High altitude area. We did find an area we liked. It was an island at the end of the road. The town, Chokoloskee, located South of Everglades City. Home to 10,000 islands and the Gulf. We could ride Lil Mac all over here. But only in winter. Bugs were everywhere. This is where we took the air boat ride. There was a beautiful RV park. It was an Outdoors Resorts of America park. I called for prices. Interior only $60,000, exterior with slip/dock only $450,000. They were NOT large sites. There was a Class A motor coach park in town too with membership, $650,000. The island is laid back and ordinary. The prices are terribly high for the area. We found just a slab for an RV with utilities/boat slip for $289,000. We can't afford Florida. Texas has much better prices.

Everglade Air Boat Ride

Dave wanted to go on a boat ride. It was an hour trip through narrow mangrove forests. We had to wear head gear. They are very noisy. (Don't plan on sneaking up on anything.) We made one stop to play with a raccoon family, mom and two kids. Our captain fed them cat food. There was a family of several generations that went with Dave & I. They were on the other boat. But we were lucky to get Grandpa on ours. Colorful dude! There were also 4 pelicans that kept flying between the two boats. Grandpa was wondering if they had tickets!
