National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium

A must stop if you are ever in Dubuque. The oldest town in Iowa.

Nana, Papa and Shae @ The Museum

Checking the place out!

Shae & Avery @ the Mississippi River Museum

The kids had a blast! Avery thought it was cool to be able to touch the fish with the glass between her and them but still was not quite sure they couldn't get her. Shae had fun meeting Mark Twain.

Frogs and Lizards from the Mississippi River Museum

Shae like the lizards. I like the frog and toads.

Our favorites of the Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium

We all went to the museum in Dubuque, IA. Donna, Scott, Kari, Jerry, Shae & Avery and Dave & I. Avery liked the ducks. Shae liked the lizards and the snakes that were swimming. I liked the toads and frogs. Dave liked the otters. Plus, there was a fish that was as big as Avery. We left the camper, with the kids in it, at WalMart. After the museum we said our goodbyes. Before we took off Dave decided to check the tires. The last photo tells how that ended.

Squaw Creek Campground, Marion, Iowa

We moved North last week because it's closer to my sister. There is a golf course right next door. Dave collects golf balls. Deer are bouncing around everywhere. Have you ever seen butterflies on a hummingbird feeder?

Naked ladies!

Ha, got your attention! These are one of my favorite flowers. The wheel is just too nice!

C is also for cemeteries, more from there.

Outstanding in the cemetery. Ha!

C is also for cemeteries.

My uncle's sister has a very nice store filled with nick nacks, flowers, dolls and lots of other stuff. Joyce also puts together beautiful flower arrangements. She did Mom & Dad's saddle.

C is for churches.

The following photos are of the Catholic grade school where I attended grades 1-8.
The nuns house. They really were mean! The hall where we had functions. And the very cool church.

C is for cars.

There was an old car show in downtown Kalona Saturday. Unfortunately, I let Dave have the camera but here's a few neat pictures. SHhhh, don't tell him I said that aloud.

B is for barns.

Barns, barns everywhere.

A is for Amish, B is for barns and C is for: cars, cemeteries and churches.

A is for Amish. We are in Amish and Menonite country here. I think it's the Amish that drive the buggies and have a beard if they are married. Plus NO electricity. The Menonite drive cars and have electricity.

Shirts and hair.

Dave is at it again. Here's his new shirts. The printing is the same front and
back. I have never seen such old campers as the ones that pull in here. Plus you just never know what you'll see. Poor pup pup!
