This was parked by us last night!

It is so pretty. Cliff and Karen is NE would have loved this car. The first car I ever drove was a 57 Chevy. These folks were heading to Surprise, AZ from WA. She was driving the Chevy pulling a trailer and he had the truck and 5th wheel. He said he had an old restored golf cart in the trailer. It's a 57.

Shadow Hills flowers.

This post is for all of you that are going thru summer flower sadness. These are around the park. Right now at 12:02 Friday Oct 16, it is HOT at 103.

Subdivision entry.

One of these days I will run around and get a bunch of these pictures. All the private/gated subdivisions try to out due each other with fancy entries. We saw this one yesterday and I had Dave turn around for a picture. How cool is this?

Lake Cahuilla and dates.

The lake & dates. I want to get a picture looking up one of the bags hanging on the trees. That photo to come.

We went for a ride yesterday....dogs are a swimmin'

We went to check out Lake Cahuilla Recreation Area. Don't ask me how to pronounce it. They stock it with trout. The kids got to go swimming. We passed by the date growing area on the way.

Humming birds on the window.

I love to watch the birds. The feeder is attached to the back window.
Some hummingbird stats in case you play Trivial Pursuit again.
California Hummingbirds: There are 13 species in Southern CA. I think the ones here are Anna's. They have a wing beat of about 53 per second. Their heart beats is 1260 times per minute. They zip around here at a blurring 25 mph. They have interesting predators: hawks, cats, roadrunners, frogs, spiders and the strangest praying mantises.

Camp hosts, (hired hands): Mark, wife Carol, Dave & me, Ray (behind me), wife Lin and the famous but not always last Henry! We had fun. It was a combo job both blue and pink! Reminder: you can double click the photo to see it better!

The finished deck and the setting mooooon....

The end of the deck construction and the moon for the night. I want to paint the dark blue strip that matches the camper onto the deck but I can't seem to match the color.

New deck for the kids.

Mac has been having trouble getting in & out of the camper so Dad built him a deck.
