Zapata, Texas and 4 season's rv park

Next stop was Zapata to visit John. We have been wanting to check out this rv park.
Unfortunately, one of the owners just died and the future of the park is uncertain.
The lake was great. The history of the area was all about the dam. Old Zapata residents were given 3 years to relocate but the weather did not cooperate with that plan and a year later town folks were running for their lives. Old Zapata was under water forever. The rv park was full of people from Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska and everywhere else it seemed. There was a parade in town the day after we arrived. The rv park took 1st place for the 3rd year in a row.
