We ate our first yummy dinner of clams, oysters and shrimp. Saturday was the opening day for shrimping. The boaters were allowed the go out from 9-3. Almost all that came back had gotten their 80 shrimp per person limit. Two people brought us some. They were not your normal WALMART size shrimp as you can see by the photo. We are not very far from the waters edge here maybe 40 feet at high tide. At low tide we can go pick up oysters and dig for clams. I wasn't sure I would like to eat the clams but I prefer them over the oysters. Does anyone have any good oyster recipes?

That looks yummy and all the more fun getting them yourselves!! Newell has a recipe for oyster stew, if you're interested!! Enjoy a few for us!! Linda/Newell
ReplyDeleteYum Yum!
ReplyDeleteWe always ate oysters raw! You can make Rockefelller. IMO the trouble with a lot of seafood is their tastes are delicate and can be easily overpowered!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun your having! Miss you guys! Love your pictures!
Happy trails,
Nancy
